February 2026 survey - QUESTIONS
- Let's start with a few foreign policy questions. Whichever party wins the April elections, the European Union ties certain legal changes to payments Hungary is due to receive. In your opinion, what would be better? Should the government rather change the laws to receive the EU support, or should it stick with current regulations even if this means losing the support, or perhaps continue negotiating the conditions?
- My next question is: do you think the current Hungarian election campaign is being influenced from abroad?
- (IF YES TO THE PREVIOUS ANSWER: And who is influencing it?)
- On April 12, there will be parliamentary elections. Will you go vote? You can answer that you will definitely go, probably go, probably won't go, or definitely won't go.
- And which of the following three statements applies to you most? I participate in every election. Or there have been elections I participated in. Or I will vote for the first time now.
- My next question: if the election day had bad weather, would this rather deter you from going to vote, or would it not affect your decision?
- And if you saw a very long line at the polling station, would you wait it out, or would you prefer to come back later?
- What do you think - will you go vote more in the morning or in the afternoon?
- And will you go to vote alone, or with someone?
- I'm also curious whether you will vote at your permanent place of residence?
- And do you know where you need to go to vote?
- And have you already received your ballot notification?
- Thank you, now I'd like to ask about your political views. Would you like Viktor Orbán to continue leading the country for another four years?
- And who would you bet on - in your opinion, which party will win the elections?
- I'm also curious - on April 12, which party's list will you vote for?
- And expressed as a percentage, how certain are you about this choice?
- Would you have voted for this party a year ago?
- On April 12, you can also vote for individual representative candidates in your constituency. Which party's individual candidate will you support?
- (IF NOT NAMING THE FIDESZ CANDIDATE IN THE PREVIOUS QUESTION:) In your opinion, what should those seeking a government change do in constituencies where multiple opposition party representatives are running so that the governing party doesn't win?
Please choose from the following answer options! One: the current opposition representative should withdraw for the Tisza Party candidate. Two: the Tisza Party candidate should withdraw for the current opposition representative. Three: the parties should agree among themselves, for example by dividing up the constituencies. Four: everyone should run, no withdrawals are needed.
- My last question would be: if you could choose next time, would you prefer to talk to a similar machine or a person during a public opinion survey?
